Machinist

• Wire EDM & Laser/Waterjet Operations: Working with wire Electrical Discharge Machining for ultra-precise cuts, as well as laser engraving or waterjet cutting.
• Close-Tolerance Machining: Working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic metals to craft tight-tolerance components for heavy industry and custom prototype applications.
• Blueprint Reading & Metrology: Interpreting detailed engineering drawings and using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and height gages to verify tolerances.

Responsibilities

Machinists at this facility are often expected to be multi-talented across several precision operations, including:

• Wire EDM & Laser/Waterjet Operations: Working with wire Electrical Discharge Machining for ultra-precise cuts, as well as laser engraving or waterjet cutting.
• Close-Tolerance Machining: Working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and exotic metals to craft tight-tolerance components for heavy industry and custom prototype applications.
• Blueprint Reading & Metrology: Interpreting detailed engineering drawings and using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and height gages to verify tolerances.
