Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Valid Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience of 1:5 - Charting system experience with Epic Description: Seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a short-term acute care facility. Ideal candidates will float between units as needed. Weekend shifts are required, with a total of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. No on-call requirement for this position. Staffing ratios during the day will be approximately 1:5. Special requirements include experience with Epic Hardstop. The unit supports a variety of patient diagnoses, including acute care surgery and emergency general surgery. Candidates should have experience in bariatric surgery, insulin administration, and post-operative care. Interdisciplinary support services are available, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as needed. Professionalism and flexibility will be key to success in this role.
