The ideal candidate for this position must possess a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.Responsibilities:PLAINTIFF – CLIENTSPrepare Petition for Damages with discovery questions for the defendantsSet up Rule 10.1 discovery letter(s) on plaintiff's cases for the outstanding discoveryPrepare all Discovery from Defendant Insurance Co Defense Attorney's to plaintiffForward in word to the Firm's client(s) outstanding discovery to be answeredReview client(s) answers to all discovery before sending a completed email to Lead Counsel for review of discovery before it leaves the office.Prepare Cover Letter(s) to defense attorneys with defense discovery questions with available deposition dates of plaintiff(s).MOTIONS – RULES – JUDGMENTSPrepare all Motions on Plaintiff's files with Memos for the CourtMotion to Enroll with OrderRule for Contempt of Court Rule to Show Cause Hearing with OrderMotion to Compel with OrderMotion to Amend and Supplement Plaintiff's Petition with Court approval i.e. OrderMotion to Set for Trial & Statue Conference with Memo'sJudgment(s) from Court hearingMEMORANDUMS OF LAWPrepare any and all Opposition Memorandum in case with hearing datesPre-Trial Memorandum and Briefs for cases that are set for TrialPrepare Memo's with other Motions in cases with Rule to Show Cause hearing including OrdersAppellate Briefs & Motions for New Trial and/or Appeals from District CourtDEFENDANT - CLIENTSPrepare Answers to plaintiff's petition with discovery questionsCurators Pleadings
