Job Title: Linen Sort Technician

Pay Rate: $16.77 per hour

Location: Charleston, WV 25304

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Saturday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Overtime: Frequent overtime required; shifts may extend until 5:00 PM

Assignment Duration: 6+ Months, with potential extension based on business needs

Position Summary

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Linen Sort Technicians to support laundry production operations in a fast-paced healthcare linen processing facility. This role involves sorting soiled linens, maintaining production standards, and supporting the overall laundry operation to ensure an adequate linen supply for healthcare facilities and contracted clients.

Key Responsibilities

Sort soiled linens according to established production standards and procedures.

Maintain production output levels that meet or exceed department expectations.

Support laundry production operations to ensure timely processing and distribution of linens.

Follow all workplace safety, health, and operational guidelines.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Assist with various production and distribution functions as needed.

Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production goals.

Comply with attendance, scheduling, overtime, and departmental policies.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education

Minimum 8th-grade education.

Ability to read and write.

Professional Experience

At least 6 months of recent experience in warehouse, manufacturing, production, laundry services, housekeeping, environmental services (EVS), distribution, or other physically demanding work environments preferred.

Proven reliability and strong attendance record in labor-intensive roles.

Technical Skills

Ability to follow production standards and work instructions.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of workplace safety practices.

Certifications

No certifications required.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.

Ability to lift, push, pull, and move linen carts and bags during the workday.

Comfortable working in a hot industrial laundry facility.

Strong attendance and dependability required.

Ability to work overtime with little advance notice.

Ability to learn new processes and adapt to changing production needs.

Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.

Commitment to the full 26-week assignment.

Candidates must successfully complete a prescreen review before hiring manager consideration.

Required onboarding documentation, including vaccination requirements, must be completed before the start date.

Candidates must be available to work all scheduled days, including Saturdays and mandatory overtime when requested.

This is a temporary assignment and is not currently expected to convert to permanent employment.
