Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) in a long-term care (LTC) setting is responsible for providing nursing care to patients with conditions such as dementia, arthritis, congestive heart failure, and cerebrovascular accident. The role requires at least one year of nursing experience, with the ability to float between units as needed. The LVN/LPN will work within specified patient ratios and utilize EPIC electronic medical records to support patient care and documentation.

Responsibilities:

Required Skills & Certifications:

Current LVN/LPN licensure in the state of practice.
Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Experience working with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:21 (day/weekend) and 1:42 (night).
Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records system.
Willingness to float to other units as needed.
Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted).

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience in long-term care nursing.
Familiarity with care of patients with dementia, arthritis, CHF, and CVA.

Special Considerations:

Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
Floating to other units as needed is mandatory.
Position accepts first-time travel nurses only.
Must comply with patient ratios specific to shift and day type.

Scheduling:

Work schedule includes day, night, and weekend shifts.
Weekend coverage required on an every-other-weekend basis.
