Unit Information: Maternal Infant Unit, Location: CJW Johnston Willis, Floor: 3rd, Building: Atrium.
General Information: Number of Beds 24, Number of Staff 71. Type of staff: Day Shift labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary, leadership, educator. Night Shift labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary. Patient Ratios: labor 1:1 (most of the time), post-partum 5-6:1, nursery 5-6:1. Type of equipment: GE fetal monitors EMR Meditech, CPN.
Hiring Profile: Must have at least 2 years of labor experience. Preferred or nice to have: 2+ years of labor experience with a history working in an LDRP with high birth volumes.
List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Vaginal deliveries, C-sections, antepartum patients. Newborn and post-partum care.
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP & AWHONN Fetal monitoring certification.
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs/ MIU nurses have pink badges for infant security.
Weekends and On call: Every third weekend with 12 hours of call per 4 week schedule.
No. of Positions: 4/4. Guaranteed Hours: 36 Contract Weeks: 91.
