Motor Vehicle Mechanic

Valiant is looking for a Motor Vehicle Mechanic to join our team!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Perform intermediate and direct support level maintenance for commercial/civilian vehicles and equipment.
• Provide general and direct support for ATVs, small engines, light towers, generators and trailers.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals for identifying maintenance faults and repairs.
• Perform maintenance at maintenance shop and in the field.
• Operate recovery vehicles such as car hauler or wrecker.
• Operate forklift and tractor.
• Work in various weather conditions.
• Work weekends and shift work.
• Follow all environmental and safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years' experience as a general mechanic on civilian/domestic vehicles. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals. Ability to follow written and verbal directions.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must possess a valid La Class D chauffeur's license or obtain one within the first 90 days of hire to maintain employment.
• Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
