Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Our outstanding people deliver creative decarbonization energy solutions to our customers.We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to play a critical role in driving supplier quality, component reliability, and manufacturing readiness as we scale our electrolyzer manufacturing operations.In this role, you will lead supplier quality initiatives across supplier qualification, auditing, incoming inspection, non-conformance management, and supplier development. You will work closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure supplier performance, product quality, and manufacturing readiness as the company continues to grow.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, enjoys solving complex quality challenges, and is excited to operate in a highly cross-functional and execution-focused role.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead supplier quality activities including supplier qualification, onboarding, audits, and ongoing performance managementDevelop and maintain supplier quality requirements, scorecards, and corrective action processesPartner closely with suppliers to drive root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issuesEstablish incoming inspection plans, sampling methodologies, and acceptance criteria for critical componentsMonitor supplier quality performance metrics, including defects, yield, responsiveness, and corrective action effectivenessSupport supplier process validation, APQP, PPAP, and manufacturing readiness activities where applicableCollaborate with Supply Chain teams to ensure component traceability, risk mitigation, and supplier scalabilityPartner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to resolve production quality issues and improve process capabilityLead failure analysis, root cause investigations, and implementation of corrective and preventive actionsAnalyze quality data and trends to identify risks, improve performance, and drive continuous improvement initiativesParticipate in design reviews and manufacturability discussions to ensure quality is built into products and processes from the outsetSupport the implementation and execution of core quality processes, including NCR, IQC, MRB, and CAPAContribute to building a strong culture of quality, accountability, and operational excellence across the organizationQualifications5+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or quality engineering rolesDemonstrated experience managing supplier quality performance within a hardware manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, control plans, and process validation methodologiesExperience with supplier quality systems, incoming inspection programs, NCR, MRB, and CAPA processesExperience conducting supplier audits and driving supplier corrective actionsExperience working within ISO 9001-compliant environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and experience applying structured root cause analysis methodologiesAbility to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environmentExcellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working with contract manufacturers and global supplier networksExperience supporting electrochemical, hydrogen, energy, industrial equipment, or related systemsProfessional certifications such as ASQ CSQP, CQE, CQA, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, or equivalent quality certifications#LI-OnsiteCompensation and Benefits | P4MA Zone$135,000—$158,000 USDActual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package.
