Surgical Technologist IIIWithin Franciscan Health, the Surgical Technologist III performs various tasks supporting perioperative services within the Franciscan team. This position assists multiple disciplines within the operating room by preparing patients and equipment for procedures, and maintaining environmental standards. This position, also, provides technical assistance to surgeons by anticipating procedures and equipment. Franciscan Health takes pride in hiring coworkers who provide compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECTPrepare for surgical procedures by obtaining appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment and appropriate records for specific surgical procedures.Open surgical supplies/equipment, clean and prepare instruments for sterilization process, and restock pre-operative carts.Arrange instrument trays, prepare sterile drapes and solutions, and help the surgical team put on caps, gowns, and gloves.Assist in the cleanup of surgical environment after a procedure, ensuring the operating room is cleaned and set up for turnover to the next procedure.Remove equipment from surgery room, and follows proper procedure to dispose of contaminated equipment and supplies.Assist with prep of patients, as needed.Clinic responsibilities may include rooming patients, taking vitals, orders, and routing phone calls..5 Day Part Time position availableQualificationsRequired High School Diploma/GED4 years Surgical Technician PreferredRobotics experience requiredCertified Surgical Technologist (CST) - The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart AssociationTRAVEL IS REQUIRED: Never or RarelyEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERIt is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law.
