About the Job

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local manufacturing and production company in Olympia, WA, to hire a temporary CDL Class A Driver.

This position will primarily make local deliveries of construction materials to customer job sites within approximately a 50-mile service area. The ideal candidate will have previous CDL driving experience and be comfortable with flatbed deliveries, securing loads, operating a forklift, and providing professional service when interacting with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a CDL Class A flatbed truck to deliver construction materials to customer job sites
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials following DOT and company safety requirements
• Properly secure loads using straps, chains, and other required equipment
• Operate a forklift to load and unload materials at the yard and customer locations
• Complete local deliveries within approximately a 50-mile service area
• Verify orders and delivery paperwork to ensure materials are delivered accurately
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Maintain accurate delivery records and follow assigned routes and schedules
• Communicate professionally with customers at delivery locations
• Assist with placing materials in designated delivery areas when needed
• Perform occasional physical work associated with loading, unloading, and handling materials

What You Bring:

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
• Previous CDL driving experience required
• Flatbed and construction/building material delivery experience preferred
• Experience safely securing loads for transportation
• Forklift experience required or willingness and ability to operate a forklift
• Comfortable making local deliveries within approximately a 50-mile radius
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned routes and deliveries
• Strong customer service and professional communication skills
• Ability to perform physical work associated with loading, unloading, securing, and handling materials
• Knowledge of and ability to follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety requirements
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Flexibility to work Monday–Friday, with some weeks potentially scheduled Monday–Thursday
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
