Construction Manager – Heavy Civil / Earthwork

12-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

Field-Based Position – 4x4 Vehicle Required

Build Large-Scale Civil & Environmental Infrastructure Projects

We're seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee major heavy civil construction projects at active mining and industrial facilities. This is an opportunity to lead challenging projects involving earthwork, water management systems, containment structures, drainage infrastructure, and environmental construction while working alongside industry-leading construction and engineering teams.

What You'll Be Doing

✅ Lead daily onsite construction activities from mobilization through project completion

✅ Coordinate contractors, engineers, inspectors, and QA/QC teams

✅ Monitor project progress, manpower, equipment, productivity, and schedule performance

✅ Conduct field inspections and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards

✅ Lead daily and weekly coordination meetings

✅ Manage RFIs, submittals, project documentation, and reporting

✅ Track quantities, costs, installed progress, and contractor performance

✅ Support change orders, contract administration, and project controls

✅ Develop and maintain schedules using Microsoft Project

✅ Identify and resolve field issues before they impact safety, cost, quality, or schedule
