Payroll Specialist

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL. We're looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for approximately 500 employees using a payroll system (Paylocity or similar). Review and audit employee timecards to ensure accuracy prior to payroll processing. Follow up with managers to resolve missing approvals, timecard discrepancies, and payroll exceptions before payroll deadlines. Ensure weekly payroll is finalized and submitted on schedule. Review commission reports and coordinate with managers to resolve discrepancies prior to payroll processing. Process employee garnishments and maintain accurate payroll deductions. Assist with employee licensing documentation and maintain required payroll-related records. Process payroll paperwork, employee changes, and other payroll documentation. Respond to employee and manager payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Perform other payroll and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications 1–5+ years of payroll processing experience. Experience using a payroll system such as Paylocity, ADP, Paychex, or a similar HRIS/payroll platform. Experience processing high-volume, multi-employee payroll is a plus. Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with existing spreadsheets. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
