Job Summary: Under general supervision is responsible for providing speech, language and dysphagia services to patients which includes; evaluations, planning individual patient care programs, treatments, and home programs.

Essential Functions:

• Consistently uses an outward mindset and puts forth exemplary effort in accomplishing his/her goals and objectives in a manner that helps others to achieve their goals and objectives.
• Performs patient evaluations and administers treatment for speech language and swallowing disorders.
• Designs and revises plans of care and goals
• Provides written and/or verbal reports to physicians.
• Completes documentation according to unit standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in in-service education programs.
• Keeps abreast of current trends and developments in speech and swallowing disorders.
• Participates in related activities such as patient care committees, case conferences, personnel orientation, community education projects and in-service education.
• Attends staff meetings

This position will be responsible for inpatient services such as bedside swallow studies, diet recommendations, and monitoring and outpatient VFSS in addition to outpatient speech therapy evaluation/intervention for the adult population. CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING AND WORK INDEPENDENTLY!

Requirements:

• 2+ years pediatric SLP experience - [Required]
• Pediatric experience - [Required]
• Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology - [Required]
• VFSS experience [required]
• Must be willing to work in INPATIENT and OUTPATIENT Units [required]
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) - [Required]
• Traveler's perm address must be included in profile
• New grads will not be considered
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
• Any/All RTO must be included in profile. ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION. Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer/at interview. Please obtain this information prior to submittal. Requests after offer may lead to rescinded offer
