Our organization is looking for a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Urologist to become part of our esteemed Surgical Service in Reno, Nevada. This purpose-driven position provides a remarkable blend of clinical influence, work-life harmony, and opportunities for outstanding outdoor activities.

Position Overview

As a Urologist with our organization, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering high-quality urologic care for both inpatient and outpatient settings, which encompasses evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and electronic record-keeping.

• Conducting general urology procedures , such as cystoscopy and a range of small to intermediate open or minimally invasive surgeries.

• Addressing urgent Urology cases in the Emergency Department, Operating Room, ICU, inpatient units, and outpatient clinics .

• Engaging in collaborative care with Radiology, Medicine, Laboratory, and other ancillary services .

• Participating in mandatory Surgery Service and organizational meetings while contributing to ongoing quality improvement efforts.

Facility & Community

Our organization provides care to Veterans across 20 counties in northern Nevada and northeastern California , serving approximately 120,000 Veterans . The main campus, known as the Ioannis A. Lougaris VA Medical Center , features:

• 64 acute care beds

• 60 Community Living Center beds

• Several affiliated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs)

Compensation & Benefits (Total Rewards)

• Competitive salary : $300,000-$320,000 , depending on experience and qualifications.

• Eligibility for an annual performance bonus

• Regular salary increases

• Vacation & Leave: 26 days of annual leave, 13 sick days, 11 paid Federal holidays, and a potential 5-day CME absence .

Loan Repayment - Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP)

• Eligibility period of 1-5 years , determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services office

Requirements

• MD/DO from an accredited institution

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology

• Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
