Prodware Solutions LLC is seeking a local contract MRI Technologist for a local contract job in Elmhurst, New York.

• Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and established imaging protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Screen patients for MRI safety, including contraindications such as implants, pacemakers, and metal objects.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to any concerns or emergencies.
• Administer contrast media when required, following physician orders and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document imaging procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Follow infection control, radiation safety (where applicable), and MRI safety guidelines.
• Perform routine quality assurance checks and report equipment issues promptly.
• Educate patients about MRI procedures and answer questions to help reduce anxiety.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and MRI (MR) preferred or eligible.
• Current state licensure (if required).
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Strong communication, patient care, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as needed.
