Position Summary

To provide superior quality, competitive value, and outstanding service by providing the highest standard of quality medical care to Brevard Health Alliance (BHA) patients through the primary care medical home model. Assists pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. Pharmacy Technicians are only permitted to perform duties as outlined under applicable laws.

General Education Requirements

Current State of Florida Registration Pharmacy Technician registration or current State of Florida Pharmacy Intern registration required. Prefer national pharmacy technician certification by the PTCB or ExCPT. IV admixture experience preferred. Six (6) or more months of FQHC experience preferred.

Additional Qualifications

• Computer skills to support distribution systems required
• Flexible schedule with availability to work long and irregular hours; includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary
• Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Pharmacy & POS software
• Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills
