Quality EngineerImplement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tool, 6 panel, etc.Manage and direct statistical process control activitiesKnowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis & variable data analysisIdentify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficientlyEstablish tolerance limits and facilitate appropriate corrective actionsEstablish and monitor quality target levels for each buildProvide input for design and assembly concepts which will yield nominal variationsEstablish critical characteristics for gauging and measuring data collection methodsDetermine inspection equipment and facility requirementsSupport expedited concern resolution with cross functional teams including the Quality Department, Production and SuppliersReview internal/external suppliers for critical characteristics process compatibilityReview incoming quality concerns to maintain quality with assigned area; must have experience with initiating containment, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions.Minimum of five years of manufacturing or quality experienceAbility to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervisionAbility to lead cross-functional groups to resolve concernsStrong written and oral communication skills: you will be speaking or presenting to Ford leadership or representing Ford while engaging with 3rd party suppliersHigh level of analytical and statistical skills to trend quality data and take appropriate actionsAbility to positively influence changeAbility to handle complex issues and multi-taskingStrong organizational skillsProficiency in using Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Understanding of the concepts and principles surrounding Business Objects, SharePoint, and other Ford-specific software.This is a Contract position based out of Sterling Heights, MI.The pay range for this position is $42.30 - $46.53/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
