Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is currently looking for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer to support the Systems Engineering Long Range Radars (SE LRR) department. The SE LRR department provides subject matter expertise for concept development, architectural design, requirements generation & flow-down, modeling and simulation, systems analysis, integration, test and evaluation of world-class Missile Defense & Sensor Systems to be achieved through our people, processes, technology and performance. This position is on site in Woburn, MA.What You Will DoYou will be leading a team to define radar system requirements, design architectures and algorithms in support of those requirements and collaborate with software development and integration & test teams to ensure effective implementation. Some specific responsibilities:Analyzing radar system performance data with respect to requirements.Identifying performance deficiencies and proposing solutions.Defining and prototyping new algorithms to enhance system performance.Presenting plans, designs and system performance to peers, internal leadership and external customers.Providing subject matter expertise to agile software development teams to ensure proper implementation of requirements.Assisting other systems engineers in their investigations and analysisYou will contribute to multiple capability areas, including:Hypersonic threat defense.Tracking, discrimination, search, and battle manager interfaces.Radar calibration, diagnostics, and deployed site support.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.Experience with Matlab, C/C++, Java, and/or DOORS.Experience with systems analysis, algorithms, requirements development, issue investigation/resolution and/or signal processing techniques.Qualifications We PreferExperience with BMC4I systems, radar systems, signal processing techniques, and system-level requirements development, documentation, and maintenance, including software architecture design.Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop technical solutions for complex issues, including radar system concepts (detection, discrimination, tracking, and signal processing algorithms) and performance analysis.Proficiency in developing, documenting, and maintaining processes, methods, tools, and system models, algorithms, test vectors, and analysis tools to support radar requirements and performance analysis.Experience with AI/ML applications in signal processing, database design, and algorithm enhancement.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to interface with customers to lead technical solutions for complex user needs.Previous military service or experience working within military or defense-related environments.What We OfferOur values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
