BIM Specialist

BIM Specialist We are currently seeking a high caliber BIM Specialist for a long-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Santa Ana, CA. Working as a member of our BIM Department, the BIM Systems Specialist will provide full lifecycle implementation and support of technology solutions for BIM users across the country in multiple locations. In this role the focus will be on the technology side of BIM making sure users have the tools they need when they need them and that all systems are operating efficiently. Within your area of responsibility, you help define strategy, design solutions and are responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of a wide range of technologies. Helping to create a robust and resilient computing environment for all users is a key component of this job. Job Requirements Install, maintain and support CAD/BIM technology across the enterprise. Design, configure & maintain IT support infrastructure for CAD/BIM users. Interface with company business leaders to resolve complex issues efficiently. Provide tier 3 support for CAD/BIM applications. Review license usage analytics to define strategy, procurement, installation, maintenance and documentation of software and licensing. Triage support activities, quickly identify issues, research options and take action. Assist users with automation and scripting of difficult/complex tasks which are difficult to train users to perform manually; and large/bulk data and file sets which aren’t practical to process manually. Perform analytics and other measures of technology and solutions to gain insight into needs, improvements and inefficiencies. Qualifications Required: Software – Any CAD, BIM and/or CAM software vendor Skillsets – CAD, BIM, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, Installation/Deployment Programming – Any scripting or programming language Demonstrated and proven aptitude, attitude and experience Preferred: Software - Autodesk products: AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, CADmep, Revit/Revit MEP, Navisworks, BIM 360 Field, BIM 360 Glue, CAMduct, Inventor, 3dsMax, etc. Skillsets – CFD, FEA, CNC, CAM, Microsoft Server, Microsoft Access, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy, DFS/DFSR Programming – DOS Batch Files, vbScript, PowerShell, Visual Basic, C++, C#, VB.Net, Autolisp Education / Experience 5-10 years of experience in architecture, engineering or construction.
