Registered Nurse - ICU (Nights)

Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Long‑term, full‑time contract position at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) in Houston, TX. What You'll Do Complete and document accurate patient assessments. Deliver safe, compassionate, high‑quality care per VA standards. Work collaboratively with staff, patients, and families. Attend all required VA training and ongoing education. Maintain reliability, professionalism, and excellent attendance. Job Details Night shift: 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM. 36 hours per week, overtime permitted. Credentialing help, professional liability coverage, and workers’ compensation provided. ICU nurses required to float to MedSurg, Stepdown, Spinal Cord unit, and Community Living Center as needed. Requirements BSN graduate from an ACEN or CCNE‑accredited nursing program. Active, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state accepted). Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience (within last 5 years); float experience to MedSurg units.
