Product Design Engineer (AVP)

What You Will Do: In this role, you will perform the following day-to-day activities: Translate Figma designs into responsive, interactive UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Build and maintain scalable front-end applications using React (and optionally Angular or Vue.js). Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration and user experience. Prioritize accessibility and usability by adhering to WCAG/EAA guidelines. Contribute to the State Street Design System and component library. Participate in testing, debugging, and iterative improvements of UI features. Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and design trends. Familiarity with TypeScript and modern build tools (Webpack, Vite) Ability to optimize performance for data-heavy applications. Strong communication skills and ownership mindset in cross-functional teams. Bonus: Exposure to financial services interfaces and workflows. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
