Position Specific Description NextEra Energy, a leading provider of clean energy solutions, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst II to join the Business Services Cost and Performance team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be forecasting for NEER Solar technology’s ALF and ALR (availability lost factor and revenue), and its impact on executive reporting and budgeting, as well as providing actionable recommendations to drive down cost. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, presentation and accountability, and a drive for excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough ALR (availability lost revenue) cost analysis, including monitoring intramonth cost fluctuations, and identifying areas for improvement. Responsible for Solar ALR budget process, working with stakeholders such Business Management, Engineers, Site Managers, General Managers, and ultimately Sr. Leadership. Develop and prepare executive reports on technologies’ performance, cost trends, and other key metrics. Utilize advanced analytics techniques to identify and analyze data trends; continuously looking for automation and process improvement opportunities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate data, ensuring accuracy and completeness; ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities beyond Solar ALR to support full Business Services team. Present findings and recommendations to management in a clear and concise manner. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data analysis and reporting. Desired Qualifications: Experience in business analysis, preferably in a similar role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques. Experience with executive reporting tools, such as PowerBI. SAP forecasting input experience is a plus. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and identify trends and patterns. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions. Experience in the energy industry or a related field is a plus. Provides financial leadership by supporting Operations leadership in decision‑making and strategy development. Supports new lines of business and finds ways to reduce overhead cost per job. Provides reporting and analysis for all operations activity including productivity, capital and overhead spending, forecasting, budgeting, absorption, sales, and inventory and operations planning. Prepares and distributes financial reports and indicators and explains financial results to non‑financial audiences. Communicates and explains operational performance through Profit and Loss. Collaborates effectively with colleagues from all departments. Leads and executes process improvement projects using Six Sigma principles. Manages internal controls processes and identifies and mitigates control weaknesses. Extracts, organizes, analyzes, and reports data in a manner that is useful and relevant for making business decisions. Develops broad technical and communication skills through self‑study and internal and external training opportunities. Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
