Knowledge of procedures and techniques involving the administration of simple treatments and providing related bedside resident care service. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, residents and residents' families. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of resident care. Ability to conduct oneself with tact and courtesy. Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rate as directed. Assist in the development and updating of each resident's service plan. Monitor the health, safety, and well-being of the residents. Document information pertaining to changes in the resident's functional status, personal needs, appointments via communication book, and care alerts. Assist in keeping the environment safe for the residents. Report concerns about residents to nurse and or shift supervisor. Respond to resident call lights in a timely manner. Assist residents in activities of daily living; including bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene and mobility. Medication administration Promote independence with residents, offering choices and fostering self-help skills.
