Registered Nurse (RN)
A professional caregiver who is responsible for planning, providing, and directing patient care and education by utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. This role involves developing a care plan based on patient assessments, incorporating therapeutic relationships with patients and families, and effectively communicating with health care team members.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in an Operating Room setting.
- Prior travel experience is essential.
- Candidates must complete approximately 70 Net Learning modules and pass an ECG and Medication exam with a score of 80% or higher within one week of assignment acceptance.
Required Certifications
- Current Ohio State Board of Nursing license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Position Responsibilities/Expectations
- Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients, including evaluating safety and educational needs.
- Develop and establish collaborative plans of care based on assessment data in conjunction with other involved disciplines.
- Implement and evaluate the plan of care focusing on identified patient goals and intended outcomes, making necessary modifications based on reassessment of the patient's status.
- Complete documentation according to established standards and utilize relevant documentation tools appropriately.
- Assess the readiness of patients and their significant others to learn, and implement individualized education plans as needed.
- Take an active role in nursing department initiatives, including providing in-service opportunities and serving as a project leader for committees and task forces.
- Provide age-appropriate care tailored to the specific population served.
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining professional standards.
- Deliver an exceptional service experience to all customers by consistently demonstrating organizational Standards of Performance.
