Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Montross, VA offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

$1750 or more per week - TOP EARNERS MAKE $2000 or more per week

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Solo Miles Pay: $.70 per Mile with 1300-1750 or more Miles per Week
• Solo Stops Pay: $30.00 to $65.00 per stop with 5 to 10 Stops per Week
• Layover Pay: $85.00 per night with 1-4 layovers per week
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday Friday - some Sunday dispatches for Monday Delivery
• Start Time: Varies (usually AM deliveries)
• Sign on Bonus: Pays you $3000; $1000 on day 1, $1000 at 6 months and $1000 at 1 year

Deliver SOLO To: WV, MD, DE, NJ, NY, PA, and surrounding states.

Tractor Type: Sleeper

Trailer Type: Flatbed 53' and Wedge Trailer 33' - TRAINING OFFERED

Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful

Freight: Trailers

Mix of Light Touch and No touch freight: Using basic hand tools to put wheels and tongues on trailers. The customer rolls off the trailers.

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
