Job Description
## Pediatric OR RN - Pediatric Operating Room

### Schedule
- Shift Type: 12-hour day shift
- On-call: Required (~5-6 call shifts per 6-week scheduling period, including weekends and weekdays)

### Assignment Details
- Unit Capacity: 16 beds
- Facility Total Staffed Beds: 455

### Requirements
- Minimum RN Experience: 2 years
- Certifications: ACLS (required), BLS; PALS recommended/typical for pediatrics
- Experience with Pediatric OR procedures (scrub and circulate)
- Proficient in blood/blood product administration
- Knowledgeable in infection control and specimen handling/labeling
- Must comply with universal protocol (time-out)
- Experience with pediatric CVOR and general pediatric OR procedures

### Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Prep and maintain the sterile field in accordance with safety protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes during surgical procedures
- Administer medications and manage IV fluids as necessary
- Assist in the recovery of pediatric patients post-surgery, assessing for any complications

### Compliance / Notes
- Flu vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Fit testing may be required; facial hair compatibility necessary
- Orientation resources available
- All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission; no new RTO after submission
