Veterinary Surgeon

Do you love surgery? Faithful Friends Animal Society is seeking a full‑time or part‑time veterinarian to join our team in our new modern shelter with a medical wing, surgical suite, and new mobile clinic. The ideal candidate will focus on public and shelter spay/neuter, with the ability to perform life‑saving and specialty surgeries such as mass removals and hernia repairs. Responsibilities Perform high‑volume spay and neuter surgeries for cats and dogs. Conduct specialty surgeries as needed. Communicate with clients clearly and compassionately, discussing surgery results and after‑care instructions. Requirements DVM degree (or equivalent) with a Delaware veterinary license. At least 1 year of small animal veterinary experience. Proficient in high‑quality spay/neuter procedures for cats and dogs. DEA license required. Additional Skills Humane Alliance high‑volume spay/neuter training (plus). Fear‑Free program certification (plus). Spanish language communication (plus). Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and team‑building skills. Excellent communication skills. Compensation Competitive salary commensurate with experience, $100.00 to $125.00 per hour. Benefits 25‑40 hour work week with no overnights or on‑call. Ample vet tech support. Flexible schedule opportunities Monday through Friday.
