Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Mission Community Hospital is currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our growing and caring Emergency Department team on the night shift. As an ER Registered Nurse, you will independently utilize the nursing process to provide safe, therapeutic, and efficient care to a diverse group of emergency patients. You will deliver individualized, high-quality patient care through a coordinated team approach, working closely with physicians, nursing staff, ancillary departments, patients, and their families. The RN must practice in accordance with hospital policies and procedures and comply with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725 of the Business and Professions Code.

Qualifications

General Job Requirements / Certifications / Knowledge

• Current license with the California State Nursing Board.
• Ability to interact with patients, families, physicians, ancillary services and community resources and supportive agencies.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality - HIPPA
• Efficient level of organizational skills.
• Proficient frontline communication skills.
• Demonstrated verbal communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in computer operations.

Certifications required:

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIHSS Certification
• FIRE CARD (within 90 days of hire), MAB (within 30 days of hire) Advanced MAB (within 30 days of hire)
• Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia course - Preferred
• ENPC, TNCC, and CEN preferred.
