Press assistant

The Press Assistant supports press operators in the setup, operation, maintenance, and production activities of printing and finishing equipment. This role helps ensure efficient workflow, quality standards, safety compliance, and timely completion of production schedules. The Press Assistant works closely with production staff to maintain a clean, organized, and productive manufacturing environment. salary: $24 - $25 per hour
shift: Second
work hours: 4:30 PM - 2 AM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Assist press operators with machine setup, changeovers, and production runs.
• Load and unload materials, paper stock, inks, coatings, and related supplies as needed.
• Monitor equipment during operation and report any mechanical issues or production concerns.
• Perform quality checks to verify products meet customer specifications and company standards.
• Maintain accurate production records and assist with inventory tracking.
• Clean and maintain presses, workstations, and surrounding production areas.
• Follow all company safety procedures and operating guidelines.
• Support preventative maintenance activities as directed by supervisors or press operators.
• Assist in packaging, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment.
• Work collaboratively with production, quality, and warehouse personnel to meet production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.
