About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Scrub and Circulate Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: 3 to 5 years of recent scrub and circulating nurse experience in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases. License: RN License required Certifications: BLS (must be AHA) required; CNOR preferred Must-Have: Experience in the following cases: - Coronary Artery Bypass - primary and redo - Aortic aneurysms - Aortic Valve Replacements & Mitral Valve Replacements - primary and redo - Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacements - ECMO - Ventricular Assist Devices Description: Candidates will primarily be scrubbing. Required to work one summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) and one winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) based on departmental needs. Any requested time off must be added to the end of the contract for a full 13 working weeks. Ability to multitask and apply critical thinking skills is essential. Numerous research protocols are ongoing. Understanding that overtime may be necessary. Call is required. Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a team player are essential. Participation in professional activities of the department is required. Epic access is needed. Ability to float within scope may be necessary. On-call expectations include 6 to 10 shifts in 6 weeks, including approximately one weekend per month. Holiday expectations require one major and one minor holiday commitment.
