Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Provide specialized labor and delivery nursing care in a busy Birth Care Center, supporting mothers through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients while adhering to clinical standards and hospital policies.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patients conditions and monitor fetal and maternal vital signs during labor and delivery.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, including fetal monitoring and pain management.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care plans and respond to emergency situations swiftly.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information accurately in the EMR system and communicate updates to the team.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families about labor, postpartum care, and newborn care practices.
  
  
• 
  Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of medical equipment and facilities.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Obtain and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse with active state licensing.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 1 year of recent experience as an L&D RN.
  
  
• 
  Hold current BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications, and AWHONN or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (IFM) certification.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in using fetal monitors, vitals machines, and POC glucose testing.
  
  
• 
  Show excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
  
  
• 
  Prefer candidates with postpartum, high-risk LDR, or labor induction experience.
