About the Job

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a vital role in our rehabilitation nursing team. You will provide total care for our residents, starting with carefully monitoring their condition and needs. You will follow physician orders to administer medications and treatments, ensure the narcotic policies and procedures are followed, monitor for side effects, and report any changes in the condition of residents. You will also oversee the nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff to ensure that resident care plans are being followed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor resident condition and needs

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians

• Ensure narcotic policies and procedures are followed

• Monitor for side effects and report changes in resident condition

• Oversee NAR staff to ensure resident care plans are being followed

• Complete documentation and admit/discharge residents

• Report any bruises, skin tears, or neglect found while caring for residents

• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues

Qualifications

• LPN licensure with the GA Board of Nursing

• Current CPR certification

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations

• Desire to work with the elderly

• Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required

Work Schedule

• 12-hour shifts
