In-Home Caregivers

Village Caregiving is the nation's largest privately owned home care agency. We opened our doors in 2013 based on common sense principles, and we continue to operate by those same principles each day. At Village Caregiving we take pride in knowing clients choose us through word-of-mouth recommendations and health care provider referrals.

We are seeking a In-Home Caregivers in the Danville and Lancaster areas. You will provide routine care assistance to clients in their home or in a care facility. We offer flexible schedules for all of our caregivers, part-time, full-time, days, nights or weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Report information about conditions and treatment plans
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members and directors
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation and car insurance
• Pass drug screen and federal background check
