Hotel AKA Boston Common is hiring for a Part-Time Server for The Bosworth! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Server to join our dynamic team in a fast‑paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing an exceptional dining experience. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction in our fine dining establishment. Duties Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Provide detailed menu descriptions and recommend items to enhance the dining experience through effective upselling techniques. Serve food and drinks promptly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and courtesy to maintain high guest relations. Process payments accurately using cash handling procedures and basic math skills. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed. Assist in training new staff members on service standards and restaurant policies as needed. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings. Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations management is a plus. Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is advantageous for better communication with kitchen staff. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and guest requests simultaneously. Excellent communication skills to foster positive interactions with guests and team members alike. Knowledge of food handling practices, safety regulations, and sanitation standards is essential for maintaining a safe dining environment.
