Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Post Partum Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/10/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 hours Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Postpartum (L&D Post-Partum) located in Austin, Texas. This position involves providing care on a Postpartum Floor within the maternal health unit. The role requires delivering exceptional patient care and collaborating with a team to ensure positive outcomes during postpartum recovery. Job Details Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid RN licensure, valid BLS certification, no minimum experience required, located in Texas, and available to start on or around 08/03/2026. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, days, minimum of 36 hours per week. Preferred Qualifications: Previous labor and delivery or antepartum experience. Responsibilities include managing postpartum recovery, non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips. Staffing: One charge nurse, four RNs, and one clerk during the day shift. No PCTs at night. Patient Ratios: 3:1 and 4:1, occasionally 2:1 depending on acuity. Equipment: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in use. Dress Code: Navy blue scrub color. Typical procedures performed: non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium, and heparin drips. The unit encourages teamwork, good communication, and up-to-date technology.
