Speech Language Pathologist

Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Location: Lillington, NC 27546 Schedule: Full-time, school-based Employment Type: Contract Pay Rate: Starting at $40/hour (dependent on experience) Position Overview Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a school-based setting in Lillington, North Carolina (27546). This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by providing high-quality speech and language services to students with diverse communication needs. The Speech-Language Pathologist will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' academic achievement, communication development, and overall success. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals. Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students. Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, social communication, and other communication needs. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and service records. Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, and families to support student success. Select and administer appropriate assessment tools and evidence-based treatment activities. Provide recommendations for accommodations, communication supports, and intervention strategies. Maintain compliance with school, state, and federal special education requirements. Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license required (or ability to obtain). ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. School-based or pediatric experience preferred. Strong knowledge of speech-language assessment, intervention strategies, and treatment planning. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently while effectively participating in a multidisciplinary team environment. Desired Skills Experience working with students across various age groups and communication needs. Strong documentation and report-writing skills. Ability to establish positive relationships with students, families, and school personnel. Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services.
