Caseloads helped you provide the most thoughtful and thorough interventions to each and every client!What We Offer:Paid Time Off – from 150 to 304 hours a yearPaid Sick Leave - 1 hour for every 30 hours workedPaid Holidays – 5 holidays per yearPaid Jury Duty Leave - up to 2 weeksWinter Break – agency is closed from December 24th through New Year's Day (paid)Educational Leave – 40 hours after 6 months of employmentBereavement Leave – up to 24 hoursMedical – freeDental - freeVision – vision through VSP at $1.67SIMPLE IRA – Matched $1 for $1 by the agency for the first 3% of employees' annual payRoth IRAGroup life and Long-Term Disability – agency pays for 25KIndividual life and Short-Term Disability – available, paid by employeeMileage reimbursement - $0.725 cents per mile, if required to drive during work hours for work purposesDiscount ProgramWe are a 501c3 program that allows employees to enroll their student loans in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.Requirements:Current New Mexico Occupational Therapy LicenseAble to work well with others as part of a transdisciplinary teamAble to speak, read, and write fluently in English.Able to walk, sit, stand, reach, stoop, and bend.Able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry small objects from waist to chest.Must have reliable transportation, a driver's license, and current auto insuranceAble to maintain a clean driving recordEssential Job Functions:Work with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate children to determine eligibility for early intervention.Help families of eligible children think about the goals they want to pursue to enhance their child's overall development.Provide services in each eligible child's home or childcare to help them meet their established developmental goals.Support the belief that a child's development is too complex to be addressed by a single discipline; actively refer to and consult with other disciplines to better understand and coordinate the team's approach to each child and family.Advocate for children within the larger medical system; consult with pediatricians and medical specialists to share developmental information and help the family with next steps in obtaining diagnoses and resources.Teach families strategies they can use in between therapy visits to help their children meet developmental goals.Observe, reinforce, and nurture the caregiver-child relationship to help parents understand their role.Help families transition to appropriate services, if needed, after children turn 3.Follow program procedures regarding documentation, billing, data, and service delivery timelines.At Alta Mira Specialized Family Services, we value the diversity of our workforce and actively seek opportunities for incorporating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) within our agency.
