Senior Financial Accountant

Seeking a Senior Accountant with progressive healthcare accounting experience to support financial reporting, month end close, budgeting, audits, and regulatory compliance for a leading health system.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Support month end and year end close processes, including account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Assist with the preparation of annual operating budgets and long range financial plans.
• Perform financial analysis and explain budget and year over year variances.
• Prepare and file federal and state regulatory reports, including IRS filings and cost reports.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Assist with ERP system optimization and financial reporting improvements.
• Partner with department managers on budgeting, expense coding, and financial policy compliance.
• Prepare financial reports and presentation materials for executive leadership and board meetings.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive healthcare accounting experience required.
• Health system accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP financial systems required.
• Microsoft Dynamics GP experience is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit processes.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
