Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a hospital setting. Collaborate with medical teams to ensure safe delivery experiences and positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and assist in labor, delivery, and postpartum care for mothers and infants.
  • Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, conducting assessments throughout labor.
  • Administer medications and interventions according to established protocols.
  • Educate patients and families on labor progress, postpartum care, and newborn care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient status and clinical procedures.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Hold a current RN license in North Carolina.
  • Have at least 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience preferred.
  • Possess strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills.
  • Be a graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with EMR systems, particularly MEDITECH (experience not required).
  • Be able to work every other weekend, day shift, with 12-hour shifts.
