Speech Language Pathologist
$65.2 per hourLamb Staffing
● About Facility:
o This is a home health-based position
o Will cover parts of Anson and Union counties
● Unit Information:
o Beds: N/A
▪ Case load: cases based off point system. 5-6 points per day
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years. Need to have at least 3 months of Home Health experience (will accept internship experience for this)
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? No
● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Adults only, mostly geriatric
o CVA, TBI, dysphagia, apraxia, speech and cognition impairment, cancer patients, aphasia
● Required License, National Certification, Certs:
o State license, BLS, driver’s license, insurance, vehicle, CCCs (certification of clinical competency, received after CFY)
o Master’s degree or above
● Skills required:
o Swallowing difficulties, swallow studies, develop and evaluate care plans, identify aspiration risks, determine appropriate diet (soft, mechanical, etc.), patient/family education
o Experience with HomeCare HomeBase
● Support within the Department:
o Another SLP available via phone if needed
o Tuesdays - Care Consult with interdisciplinary team to discuss cases
o Manager/Supervisor
o Scheduler to schedule cases
● Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) – required
o Unit specific equipment: laptop, phone, any tools for visits
● Floating: If yes, where?
o Yes, this is a home health position
● Orientation (facility and unit) :
o NEO
o 1 week of orientation with SLP teammate
● Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: None
o On call? No
o Holiday Expectations: No
o Approval of RTO: ok to approve
o Shift times: 0830-1700
o Schedule cycle: Monday – Friday
