About the Position

Job Title: RN Cath Lab Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 AM - 08:00 PM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience in pre and post procedural care for patients undergoing catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. - Proficient in managing vascular access and device implant sites (radial, femoral, IJ, device pockets). - Ability to administer medications as needed. - Skills in assisting with cardioversions. - Competent in monitoring vital signs and ECGs. - Capacity to provide post-procedure discharge education. Description: The role involves pre and post procedural care for patients undergoing catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. Key responsibilities include pre procedure assessment of patients. The position requires managing vascular access and device implant sites. Administering medications as needed is a critical function of this role. Assisting with cardioversions is also part of the responsibilities. Monitoring vital signs and ECGs throughout the procedures is essential. Providing post-procedure discharge education to patients forms a vital aspect of care. The unit consists of six total procedure rooms, including two Cath Labs, two EP Labs, a Combo Lab, and a Hybrid Lab. The Pre/Post Unit is organized across three areas, supporting efficient patient flow.
