Job Description

Join our team as a Packaging Operator, where you will be responsible for efficiently monitoring downstream packaging, capping, and casing equipment. You will ensure quality standards by performing periodic package and case integrity tests and manage proper setup and changeovers of equipment and supplies. Additionally, you will perform rework and sanitation duties and efficiently operate automated systems, troubleshooting any issues using a computer touch screen.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage downstream packaging and related equipment.
• Ensure quality standards through periodic package and case integrity tests.
• Set up and changeover equipment and supplies as needed.
• Perform rework and sanitation duties as required.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated systems using a computer touch screen.

Essential Skills

• Production experience.
• Experience in packaging, warehouse, and general production.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read and comprehend English work instructions.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts while standing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in assembly, packing, labelling, and GMP environments.
• Experience as an operator, packager, or in general labor roles.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced food production environment where you will monitor the packaging line and newly packaged products. Be prepared for strong odors and the ability to stand for 12+ hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
