Nurse practitioner

Nurse Practitioner (NP) - NICU / Pediatrics

Provide comprehensive health assessments, diagnoses, and management plans for neonatal and pediatric patients.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.

Perform procedures as qualified, including intubation and placement of emergency umbilical lines (if experienced).

Participate in developing and implementing individualized care plans.

Educate patients, families, and staff regarding diagnosis, treatment, and care management.

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, CMS billing requirements, and California Board of Nursing standards.

Actively contribute to performance improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.

Serve as a clinical leader, role model, and resource for nursing and support staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Active California Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
• NP Furnishing License (or eligibility within 3 months of hire).
• DEA number or proof of application (within 3 months of hire).
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• NRP and PALS certifications (within 6 months of hire).
• Meets CMS criteria to bill Medicare.
• Prior pediatric and/or NICU experience required (new graduates with relevant background considered).
• Experience in acute pediatric care, intubation, or umbilical line placement preferred.
