Position Overview BridgeView Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated, detailed‑oriented Infection Preventionist to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, healthy environment for our residents, staff, and visitors by leading infection prevention and control efforts throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs in accordance with CDC, CMS, and NYSDOH guidelines. Conduct ongoing surveillance of infections and analyze trends to prevent outbreaks. Educate staff on infection control practices, including hand hygiene, PPE use, and isolation precautions. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and prepare for inspections and audits. Investigate and manage infection outbreaks and exposure incidents. Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to promote best practices. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to infection control. Qualifications & Requirements Current RN license in New York State (required). Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred or willingness to obtain. Prior experience in infection control, public health, or long‑term care strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of CDC and CMS infection control regulations. Excellent communication, training, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze data and implement effective interventions. Preferred Previous experience in a long‑term care or healthcare setting is a plus. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary.
