Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in program management. 5 years of experience in leadership role with direct reports. Experience with fiber optic network design, deployment, and operations. Preferred qualifications 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience working with global carriers and vendors in the telecommunications industry. Experience with network automation and orchestration technologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. In this role, you will lead a team for our West region, responsible for delivering the critical infrastructure that powers Google's products and services. You will play a crucial role in expanding Google's network reach and capacity, enabling seamless connectivity for users and Cloud customers worldwide. Lead and mentor a global team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) specialized in delivery of dark fiber and leased capacity from third-party network providers. Develop and implement standardized processes, tools, and best practices for efficient, scalable, and on-time fiber deployment worldwide. Oversee a portfolio of complex, hyperscale fiber deployment programs, encompassing long-haul dark fiber, metro fiber, and leased capacity solutions. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including network engineers, carriers, vendors, and internal Google teams. Cultivate a high-performing team environment, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
