Phlebotomy Training Coordinator Location: 550 17th Ave, Seattle, WA The Phlebotomy Training Coordinator will develop and implement training resources and programs to achieve training objectives, evaluate and deliver training on phlebotomy practices, and evaluate the effectiveness of training for new hires and ongoing staff development. Job Responsibilities Develop and implement appropriate resources and programs to accomplish training objectives. Evaluate current and proposed training methodologies, create training materials, and deliver training sessions. Conduct training programs for new employees and perform re‑training as needed. Monitor and report the effectiveness of training during the orientation period. Perform administrative and clerical duties related to training. Travel to additional sites, as required (5–10% of time). Minimum Qualifications Washington State issued Phlebotomy license (MA‑P). In lieu of this, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the WA Department of Health at time of hire may satisfy the requirement. Preferred Qualifications 1 or more years of phlebotomy experience. 1 or more years of lead or training experience, preferably within a phlebotomy or clinical training environment. Additional Job Standards Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Answer telephones, maintain logs/records, motivate others, demonstrate organizational skills, proficiency with numbers, research information, time management, train employees, use computerized databases, and communicate effectively. Physical demands: speech clarity, utilization of fingers and hands, standing or remaining on one’s feet, sitting in a normal seated position, handling/seizing, holding, grasping and possible casual to regular lifting of up to 30 pounds. Travel to other sites may be required (5–10%). Compensation Pay Range: $21.87 to $32.28 per hour. Benefits Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible only to the 401(k) plan.
