RN - Internal Medicine - Hybrid (Flexible Schedule/On-Site Training)Windsor (LLC) - Champaign, IL 61822Salary Range $32.40 - $44.55 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift 1st Shift Education Level 2-Year Degree Category NursingGeneral Summary of DutiesChristie Clinic's department of Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time RN (Sign-On Bonus Available) at the Windsor clinic in Champaign with a flexible schedule between the hours of Monday-Wednesday and Friday on 4,10-hour shifts between 6:30am-6:30pm, with no night or weekend requirements. This position will allow for a hybrid schedule (Monday-Wednesday remote and Friday in office) once training is completed and competencies are met as outlined by the department.Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.Job Qualifications and ExpectationsJob Duties:Administer prescribed medications, treatments and injections in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.Instruct patients regarding the collection of samples and tests.Arrange for patient testing.Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.Observe, record and report patient's condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment to ensure patients with emergency situations are given priority and documenting appropriately.Oversee patient scheduling to ensure patients in emergency situations are given priority.Send prescription refills in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.Obtain prior authorizations for medications, testing, procedures, equipment, etc.Maintain work list from provider and follow up on labs, tests, reports, etc.Attend and participate in departmental huddles and any other meetings as necessary.Perform related work as required.Required Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited school of nursingEvidence of annual completion of health-related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU'sPreferred Qualifications:Professional nursing experienceCertificate/License:Valid state license to practice nursingCPR CertificationTypical Physical Demands:Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 75 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.Typical Working Conditions:Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids and other waste common to a health care environment.
