CDR General Services LLC is seeking an experienced Combo Welder/Fitter to join our team in Port Allen, LA. This position involves welding, metal fabrication, structural repairs, and fitting operations in a shipyard environment. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, marine vessel experience, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Pay: $31.00 per hour

Work Environment: Shipyard / Marine Vessel Repair
Weekly Earnings: $1,240+
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on vessel structures, hulls, decks, and frames.
Fit, assemble, align, and repair metal components according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and measurements.
Operate welding equipment, cutting torches, grinders, and fabrication tools.
Perform welding and hot work in confined spaces and elevated areas.
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and safety standards.
Follow OSHA regulations and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Combo Welder/Fitter, preferably in a shipyard or marine environment.
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes.
Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
Strong knowledge of metal fabrication, fitting, and welding techniques.
Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and shipyard procedures.
Ability to properly use required PPE, including welding helmets, safety glasses, flame-resistant clothing, leather gloves, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, and respiratory protection when required.
