Job Title: RN Interventional Radiology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical setting - Current RN license and BLS certification Description: This is a professional position responsible for the coordination of outpatient and inpatient services. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate services provided for patients. This position is dynamic and requires the RN to function as a procedure nurse while supporting the clinical needs of all patients utilizing imaging services. The RN is responsible for linking the facility and physicians by providing services for both inpatients and outpatients. This includes preadmission nursing assessments, testing, care, and coordinating inpatient and outpatient procedures with physicians or other groups as appropriate. The role also includes post-procedure care and assessment of patients. The RN promotes quality patient care by establishing and monitoring standards of care. The RN will be engaged in various imaging modalities including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine, each with specific nursing needs as well as procedural responsibilities. The RN will also be involved in facilitating patient care and navigation through specific programs.
