Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Salisbury, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through strong communication, customer service, and teamwork, while bringing integrity, reliability, and innovation to each shift in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or other policy violations while maintaining a visible presence.
Support access control, closing procedures, and incident documentation as directed, while communicating with site contacts and public responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
